What our work costs
Every project is different, so a single number would be a lie. But “contact us for a quote” wastes everyone’s time. Here are real ranges, what moves them and how we price.
Ranges
| Work | From | Typical | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website | 2500 EUR | 4500-9000 EUR | 5-9 weeks |
| Online store | 5000 EUR | 8000-17000 EUR | 8-14 weeks |
| Custom software / web app | 8500 EUR | 14000-40000 EUR | from 3 months |
| AI integration (one process) | 4000 EUR | 5000-12000 EUR | 4-8 weeks |
| Design only (UX/UI) | 2000 EUR | 3000-8000 EUR | 3-6 weeks |
| Branding | 2500 EUR | 4000-8500 EUR | 4-8 weeks |
| Maintenance | 100 EUR/mo | 100-450 EUR/mo | ongoing |
Prices exclude VAT. A scoping workshop starts at 500 EUR and is credited in full against the project if we go ahead. AI work starts with an assessment at a fixed 800 EUR, credited the same way.
What moves the price
Pushes the price up
- integrations with existing systems
- unusual business logic
- content migration from a messy source
- multiple languages
- strict compliance needs
- tight deadlines
Brings it down
- a clear existing brand
- content ready to go
- a standard process that doesn’t need reinventing
- a phased scope that starts small
How we price
We price per phase rather than quoting the whole project up front. Design and build get a fixed price once the scope is clear, so the estimating risk sits with us.
Work we can’t scope in advance, such as research, integrations with systems we haven’t seen yet or ongoing development after launch, runs at 40 EUR an hour (320 EUR a day) against an agreed ceiling.
Payment schedule on fixed-price work: 40% to start, 30% at design sign-off, 30% on launch. On AI work the assessment is paid up front, and the build splits 40% to start, 30% when the pilot runs on your data and 30% on launch. We invoice in euro on 14-day payment terms.
Why we’re not the cheapest
You can get a website for a few hundred euro. It’ll be a template with your logo on it, and for some businesses that’s the right choice. If that’s you, we’ll tell you.
What you pay us for is research before decisions, design and development in one team, and a long-term partner who will still be there to support what we build together years down the line. That costs more than a template and less than an agency with three layers of management above the people doing the work.
Frequently asked questions
Do you do fixed-price projects?
Yes, once the scope is clear. After scoping, design and build each get a fixed price for that phase. If the scope isn’t clear yet, we start with a scoping workshop rather than inventing a number.
What’s your hourly rate?
40 EUR an hour, or 320 EUR a day, excluding VAT. That’s within the Latvian market range of 35-50 EUR an hour, and the work is done by senior people rather than by a junior team under supervision.
What is the payment schedule?
On fixed-price work: 40% to start, 30% at design sign-off, 30% on launch. Time-and-materials work is invoiced monthly. Terms are 14 days, in euro.
Do you work with startups or small budgets?
Below about 2000 EUR we’re probably not the right choice, and we’ll say so in the first conversation rather than after three. If the project is small but important, we can start with a design audit or a single phase and take it from there.
Is VAT included?
No, all prices exclude VAT. Blitzpunkt IK is VAT registered (LV40002207575). Latvian clients are invoiced with VAT at the prevailing rate; EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge.
Are domain and hosting included?
Not in the project price, but we set them up and look after them. In Latvia a domain is typically 10-30 EUR a year and hosting 100-500 EUR a year depending on the setup. You’re billed directly by the provider, and we don’t mark it up.
